For private clubs
Everything the tournament chair used to carry, carried for you.
Member-guests, invitationals, member-members, club championships, league nights and charity scrambles. ParMutuel gives the committee a betting table, a ledger and a settlement engine — and gives the members a reason to crowd around the TV in the grill room.

What your members see
Live odds on the grill-room TV. Tickets on every phone.
The chair's weekend
From setup to cash-out, step by step.
Two weeks out
Set up in an afternoon
Create your organization, set the credit value ("1 credit = $1, paid at the pro shop"), default takeout, limits and house rules. Link the Golf Genius event and import the field — teams, flights and player names come across with their IDs for result matching.
One week out
Invite the field
Send the invite text and email. Members sign up with a one-time code — no passwords — and claim the record you imported from the roster. Pre-paid entries can be credited in bulk from a CSV.
Practice round
Open the betting table
Staff post credits as members pay by cash, Venmo or member account. Or choose pay-at-the-table: members bet first and quote a four-letter code; staff collect and issue in one tap. Pools close at the first tee time minus ten minutes unless you say otherwise.
Each round
Confirm results, settle in one tap
When Golf Genius marks the round complete, pull results. You see the finishing order with ties, any unmatched entrants, and a settlement preview for every pool — handle, takeout, per-credit payout, breakage. Confirm, and payouts post to wallets and members get one text.
Sunday evening
Cash-out desk and close
The cash-out desk lists every member's final balance and tickets won. Mark each one paid; the ledger zeroes the wallet. Close the tournament and export a reconciliation that balances credits issued against wagers, refunds, payouts, takeout and breakage.
Roles
The committee runs it. The pro shop staffs it. Nobody can quietly change a number.
Permissions are enforced in the database, not just hidden in the interface.
| Role | Who | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Org Admin | Tournament chair, head pro, committee | Create tournaments and pools, import the field, issue credits and tickets, confirm results, settle, void with a reason, broadcast | Bet in a tournament they administer (configurable) |
| Org Staff | Assistant pro, volunteer at the table | Post credits, issue tickets, see balances, run the horse race board | Create tournaments, confirm results, settle, void |
| Member | Member, guest, participant | Join, see odds, bet, see their own tickets and ledger, request credits | See other members' tickets, change a balance, see results before confirmation |
| Platform | ParMutuel support | Onboard clubs, support with a logged, time-boxed session | Alter any wager, ledger entry or result |
Your club, your rules
Every knob the committee argues about is a setting.
Takeout, 0–30%
Set per pool, disclosed to members before they bet, and always retained by the club — for the purse, a charity, or the caddie fund.
Limits and exposure
Minimum and maximum per ticket, maximum exposure per member, minimum handle to run a pool, and what happens when nobody holds the winner.
Pool scoping
Daily pools on each round, overall pools on the cumulative standings, or both with separate handles. Teams or individuals, by flight if you like.
Communications
Your club's name on every text and email, quiet hours, templates you can edit, and consent captured at signup for TCPA.
The credits model
Designed to stay out of the money — and to keep your club on the right side of its own rules.
This is how ParMutuel is built. It is not legal advice; your club remains responsible for the legality of its games under local law.
No money moves through ParMutuel
Credits are issued by your staff when a member pays at the table and redeemed by your staff at cash-out. We hold nothing and process no payments.
Our fee is never a share of the pool
You pay a flat software fee per tournament or per season. Takeout is a club setting, disclosed to members, and stays with the club.
Private, members-only, auditable
Each club is an isolated tenant. Members must attest they are 18+ (21+ if you require). Every action is in an append-only, hash-chained audit log your committee can export.
